Jordy Kerwick Now Represented by Vito Schnabel & Vigo Gallery

We would like to extend our congratulations to PIERMARQ* represented artist Jordy Kerwick, for his recently announced representation with influential international galleries, Vito Schnabel in New York & St. Moritz, Switzerland, and with Vigo Gallery in the UK. As early, vocal supporters of the Australian artist's work, it’s wonderful to watch as Kerwick's career continues to achieve new heights.

American artist Robert Nava is an insightful reference point in determining Kerwick's career trajectory. Both Kerwick and Nava's work draw similarities in their figurative subject matter, electric colour palette and experimentally abstract style. In 2019, Nava's large paintings were selling for up to USD $20,000 each. In 2020, Nava signed with Vito Schnabel and Pace Gallery in addition to his already established representation at “Sorry, Sorry We’re Closed” in Brussels - where Kerwick recently exhibited. In July of 2020 Nava made his auction debut at Phillips Auctioneers in New York, where his painting titled The Tunnel (2019) was estimated at USD $40,000 - $60,000. Such was the demand; Nava's painting sold for USD $162,500. In February 2021, Nava celebrated his first solo exhibition in Vito Schnabel's Chelsea New York gallery space, titled Robert Nava's Angels. Nava's highly coveted paintings now command well in excess USD $100,000 for major works.

Kerwick will exhibit his first solo with Vito Schnabel in New York in 2022. As Kerwick continues to receive overwhelming recognition from significant collectors, curators and influential galleries worldwide, we look forward to his continued rise.
