Bill Saylor American, b. 1960

Known for his energetic fusion of abstraction and figuration, Bill Saylor’s work draws from marine biology, natural history, and subcultural iconography to form a dynamic personal mythology. His paintings and sculptures, often created outdoors, merge raw materiality with gestural intensity, evoking both primal landscapes and contemporary chaos. Saylor has exhibited widely in the U.S. and abroad, with solo presentations at Magenta Plains, The Journal, and Loyal Gallery, among others.

Bill Saylor (b. 1960) lives and works in Brooklyn, NY and Pennsylvania.
