PIERMARQ* is pleased to participate in the second edition of Untitled Art Fair in Houston Texas, taking place from 1 to 4 October on level 3 of the George R Brown Convention Center in downtown Houston. PIERMARQ* are proudly presenting works by four artists. New works by Australian painters Angus Hamra, Maximilian Daniels and Bridget Stehli will be presented alongside new works by celebrated institutional level Danish colourist Henrik Godsk.
Angus Hamra is an instinctive observer of people, capturing the fleeting expressions and quiet encounters that define contemporary life. His intimate portraits combine immediacy with remarkable sensitivity, allowing seemingly ordinary figures to become psychologically rich characters within a broader, unfolding human narrative.
Maximilian Daniels is known for luminous paintings that turn everyday moments into something dreamlike and emotionally expansive. Through finely balanced colour, atmosphere and light, his works occupy a space between memory and imagination — an approach that has established a particularly strong following with collectors in the United States.
Bridget Stehli transforms the visual residue of popular culture into paintings that are seductive, theatrical and slightly uncanny. Referencing the glamour, excess and coded imagery of the 1970s and 1980s, her works hover between nostalgia and unease, creating scenes that feel at once familiar, cinematic and psychologically charged.
Henrik Godsk balances precision with quiet psychological tension. Drawing on the visual language of early modernism, Renaissance portraiture and his upbringing within the Scandinavian travelling fairground tradition, Godsk creates poised, enigmatic figures and interiors defined by flattened form, crisp geometry and an extraordinary sense of compositional control.
