French artist François Bonnel approaches his art spontaneously and explores various fields and techniques of creation. He’s not trying to get a message across. The interplay of curves and bold colour generates in him a soothing sensation.
Flat areas of white acrylic paint or raw linen are confronted by intense colour, allowing the push and pull of tone and texture to create dynamic compositions. Geometric block shapes are subtly distorted by gently wavy edges, creating a slight sense of movement in an otherwise very formally modern aesthetic.
